Over this past year—and into the one ahead—I find myself on a journey of expansion in every area of my life: personal, spiritual, creative, business, and public.
The passing of my youngest son, Lionel, has quantum-leaped me onto an entirely new trajectory—one that is still unfolding and revealing itself, piece by piece. At the same time, the Richards Street neighbourhood has continued to shift and change, and the building that has long housed my studio and boutique now requires major structural maintenance and is no longer safe to operate from.
All of this has been nudging me (not always gently) toward the work I am truly meant to do. Design will always be a part of my life—I will never stop designing clothing—but the way I bring that work into the world is evolving. A new business model is taking shape, one that allows space for advocacy, spiritual growth, and deeper exploration alongside creative expression.
The connections and community we built through our many years in our downtown location will carry through into this next phase as it is the building blocks for what is to come. I love that my passion for design enabled me to get to know each and every one of you who came through my doors and I cherish the friendships that were made.
